A personal antidote: in my company, every full-time employee is considered exempt, despite state criteria not clearly being met in the least.
Me and my coworkers all work at least 5-10 hours of unpayed overtime a week.
This is effectively 10s of thousands per month going likely into the pockets of the executives of our company, not to mention I know of one personally (we frequently work together) who pays herself hourly…
Not sure if I should report this to OSHA or try and get the company to increase salaries across the board (they currently pay a 40hr local minimum wage equivalent salary – AKA unlivable GARBAGE WAGE).
What do people think?
