I recently started a new job. The first month I was allowed to work from home as the new office was yet to open. Once the office was open I was told I could work from home one day a week. Well it's the second week of the office being open and I decided I would work from home today. I talked to the operations manager about it and everything seemed fine. I got a call from my manager today (who works at the other branch) telling me I can't work from home as we need one person from my department in office at all times. I am the only person in my department at this office. In fact some days I am there alone. I have no one coming in for meetings today, I told my operations manager, and somehow I still got an angry call at 8am from my boss who works from home every day. Ugh. I was told I would have to make sacrifices sometimes. I didn't understand why we had such high turnover, or why our staff was so young, now I understand why. He knows I need this job as I was previously working retail. I guess I just have to look for another job and go in 5 days a week until I find something new.
