Antiwork

I received an email from my company stating they were sending all 1000 employees a gift of appreciation for their work.

Having seen some of the posts here and having been burnt in the past by corporate gestures of “appreciation”, I was getting ready to have a laugh at what it was going to be. A bag of sweets perhaps? A thank you card? I was pleasantly surprised when it was a $200 dollar prepaid visa card. I've worked for some dud organisations in the past – but here I get a good wage for my work, the office hours are very flexible,, my manager trusts my judgement, and gestures like this are nice. Makes a world of difference to my happiness. I won't accept anything else going forward.
