Be careful where you apply

There is a national security company called Palladion Services that is recruiting hard in Boston. They want concierges. They have been sending me messages repeatedly offering me a job that I started by politely declining via a message on indeed. This job is to answer security related calls, and they're offering $17/hr. I could make double that answering phones at multiple places where the calls won't be as important. I finally called after I kept getting messages nonstop and tried to explain that I didn't want to be on their list anymore. When I called and was immediately put on hold and the hold sounds sounded like a fax machine so I hung up and called back. Then I got put on hold again after someone asked if I could hold and that's when I understood that their phone's aren't set up. When I got the manager she wasn't willing…

When I got the manager she wasn't willing to hear why I wanted to be off the list and hung up on me before I could even get close to explaining that why I wanted to stop getting messages was because no one wants to answer phones at a place where the phones don't work. I never stopped getting messages. They have sent me 12 messages in under a month. I might actually have to go into that office and confront them in person to get them to stop messaging me because they won't spend more than 10 seconds on the phone with someone once they realize they won't get what they want.

Then I started googling them. I found out that in Boston they hired a convicted felon to answer the phones for their security firm. He figured out pretty quick that there's almost no security there at all and that they just have an image of being secure. Then he broke into a luxury condo owned by 2 doctors and held them hostage while he robbed them before he stabbed them and cut their throats. They were found lying in a pool of their own blood and now their families are suing Palladion Services. The guy who did this was caught and I believe he got life in prison. During the trial he threatened to rape the prosecutors wife.

Never apply for a job online without researching the company first. Doesn't matter if it's security or a daycare anymore. You should assume that any business that still exists in America has caused a body count to keep existing. If you are offered an interview at a place like this, take control. Throw the job away in the interview by asking the manager what they specifically are going to do to prevent the company from causing violent deaths like the ones they have already caused.
