What the hell is going on? Several graduates have posted about jobs that require degrees paying between $15-17 per hour. Why are adults who have spent YEARS studying and are VERY knowledgeable in niche subjects being paid less than an entry-level position?! When I threw freight for Freddy's (Kroger company), we were making $18.85 per hour. Not to mention the fact that most people in school have to take out (several) student loans to get through school in the first place, just to get paid a few dollars above minimum wage. What a joke.
Genuinely, what can we do to combat this?
