I’m a chef by trade and passion..but sadly it’s all gone, I recently took up a part time job running a bars kitchen by myself 5 days a week.this included opening ,prep,cooking, dishes, and closing.i was trained for two days by one of the owners freinds who spent most of the time rehearsing a song she was to sing that night.a couple weeks go on and the kitchen gets cleaner and cleaner(as it would not of passed a health inspection before) but unfortunately product was not being restocked and as days went on I could cook less.my requests for more went unanswered.my nerve are becoming shot at this point because all of it is being placed on me..the guy they trained for two days and who improved the quality of the kitchen..so one day the owner comes in and wants to watch me work cus she’s heard that there’s been problems with putting out food,again no product. I said sure, and go on about my day. I make a salad and put it in a bowl(the best plate for a salad) she says no put it on one of these like long thin plates? the salad gets sent back because it’s just falling off the plate, I’m pissed but don’t say anything and go on to do dishes.this woman PUSHES me out of the way and says”I know you have ten years of chef experience but I have more mother experience,watch”..I immediately left and have never gone into a kitchen again..it completely ruined any and all love I had for cooking.
