Workplace Training

This past week, my company added new annual training models regarding ethics, sexual harassment etc. One was based on workplace violence. It is supposed to term you what to look for, how to speak up, and my favorite how to organize your fellow workers to rush a gunman. Obviously I'm an American working for an American company. Friend of mine made a good point…. if they're so concerned about workplace violence, why can't we work from home? Why make us come into an office we dislike (45 minute one way commute for me) and where we are more stressed? I know it's all about control, but damn.
