So I'm in a small community that's big on support local business. There's a local community business and the owner quite frankly is a pos and after learning some information that is 100% verified. I want to write a review on Google I know in my profile I'm a rank 7 local guide so it's not going to seem like someone with a vendetta. I'd like some feedback on a potential review. The local business is a hardware store.
“Why support a local business ithat doesn't support its employees?
First off this has nothing to do with the employees, most of them are great. I've shopped at this store for near 10 years and I've always paid a little bit extra because I felt like I was supporting a small local business that was supporting their employees.
I was just made aware that the owner only only pays his employees that have helped me countless times with projects with their wisdom and advice $13 an hour. What the hell kind of person does that? That is not a living wage. With that pay rate I'm assuming they don't get benefits insurance or 401k. What a joke. I've avoided the big box stores but knowing they start their employees off at least 15 an hour on top of giving them insurance and other benefits is making me reconsider.”
