I'm a server, and I accidentally misclicked on the debit machine so that the restaurant lost money rather than gained from a customer. We are often understaffed where there is only a supervisor and myself running a busy dinner shift. My boss made me pay back the money and I know it was my mistake so I paid it up but I still felt really upset about it.
I ended up writing I worked 30 minutes less on the time sheet by mistake and now I'm even more distressed. I know that I should've been more focused but it still sucks to realize I lost all the tips I earned today, and was stupid enough to write the wrong time on the time sheet.
Sometimes I wish that I was born to a wealthier family so that I don't have to work a minimum wage job with crappy customers giving me little tips and even paying my tips to my boss.
