I've worked in this kitchen for over a year after resigning from a well paying trade due to being put on new (sedating) treatments for my diagnosis of combat PTSD in that time I've become the one that has to train new hires. Every new employee messes it up once, even me. I hate this recipe page. They want professionals but won't treat us like professionals.
Owners have led us on with promises of bonuses, employee parties, raises, promotions, all the while belittling employees (servers and bar staff) for not knowing how to fix mechanical issues and plumbing( not their job hire a plumber or an electrician)
One of the owners does scheduling and has routinely changed my schedule without notice, schedules me on days I have my VA appointments, and schedules me at the earliest shift in the morning despite me informing them i have to take meds for insomnia and cannot reliably wake up that early in the morning.
They love the tax break they get from hiring a minority race, military veteran, and using me as their poster boy for their patriotic pandering during holidays.
I genuinely hate this job,
