Modern Indentured Servitude– Beware the Contract Clause Loading US Workers With Debt

Be careful what you sign, you could owe money to your employer when you leave (or even get fired!). The general idea is that basically the contract you sign at hiring states that if you leave by X date, you owe money to the company for “training” or otherwise. This is especially applicable for Health care workers, but even can apply to places like Petsmart and Chipotle.
