Does anyone have any knowledge for my situation. I was hired last year August 2021. The company gives 2 weeks vacation. I was not eligible for vacation days for the remainder of 2021. However in 2022 I was given 5 days vacation which was prorated based on being with company for 4/5 months the previous year.
I was told that on my anniversary date (which just passed) I would be given 5 more vacation days for this year. However I talk to my payroll and she says that I will not get the 5 more days however I will get the full 2 weeks for 2023 calendar year. “they said they prorated the vacation days earned last year for this year to take”. She said they go by “Calendar year” for calculating vacation days.
Is this correct?
