The job I work for is a joke. I put my 2 weeks in so I could go to a FT job and they told me they'd move me to a better department (since they stuck me in a place I told them I would not enjoy in the slightest and would quit if I got). I'm now being told I won't be considered for Full time for 2+ months. I've never called in sick. Never late. Been here 60+ Days which was the amount to be considered for Full Time. I had an 11-7 cook job lined up. I was ecstatic. They only paid 13.50 an hour and were 30 minutes away. Martins offered me Full time and 15 an hr. They are now going back on their word. I've applied to every single store that is paying 12+ an Hour. Every. Single. Store. Not 1 call. Not 1 opportunity. I've called places with no luck. This Whole Country is going to hell. Places around here are “Urgently Hiring” But nowhere wants to hire anyone. I've applied to 50+ Jobs within a 25+ Mile radius.

The Job marker of the US is ridiculous. $7.25 is not a livable wage. $12.50 Is not a livable wage. $15 IS. NOT. A. LIVABLE. WAGE. I get paid 175 a week roughly. I can cover car insurance and the lease payment. That is it. I shouldn't have to STRUGGLE TO LIVE.
