I don’t understand why people want to look bad at work. Why not look good while at work?
I’m not talking Dunder Mifflin style poor fitting polyester fused suits that look terrible.
But the “best buy look” of khakis and a polo and loafers or sneakers is so uninspired, I’m not sure why people opt for that. I mean, I get it, it’s easy. But how long does it actually take to button a full placket shirt and tie one’s shoes?
And middle aged men with those dad bods, there is a reason why structures jackets have been preferred by men for many decades. They hide dad bods and create a v shape silhouette in attempts to flatter.
And jeans, don’t get me started. There is nothing comfortable about denim. Such a heavy, course material. Jeans just advertise “I wipe the McDonald’s grease on my hands off on my jeans and it doesn’t matter because they are jeans…”
Work sucks, but at least we can try to look good while we sell our time. Who’s with me?
