Does it seem suspiciously odd…

Does it seem suspiciously odd that when the working class (i.e. all of us) show our dissatisfaction with pay, healthcare, time off, and quality of life, and actually have the beginnings of a movement for change, a war suddenly appears to take the focus away? Seems like a perfect smokescreen to raise prices, claim stagflation, and do nothing to better the lives of all of us. Am I wrong?
