Last July 2021 I was laid off due to a reorg.
It took me a while to find a full time gig as I am a senior in my gig.
Nov 2021 – I took a gig that the company was a scam. I learned the ceo was on some major drugs and has some behavioral issues and left after 4 mos.
April-June 2021 worked on a contract gig for my previous employer until I found a full time gig.
June – current: this gig isn’t really ideal. I work on a team with a terrible contractor who purposely excludes me from emails and invites on projects I am on. Acts as if he is my boss.
My boss kind of allows it. The contractor and I started at the same time and he’s kinda that guy that has to be right front and center. My boss hasn’t had the offensive commentary I had – he made racist and xenophobic remarks.
I am kind of thinking on looking for another gig but not really sure if I should since this is full time and I’ve had a rough year employment wise. I’m a remote worker and really don’t have the ability to connect with anyone other than my boss and this contractor.
