Do any remote workers feel they might go mad if they hear one more Teams ding?

I took off for 2 weeks (I know this is a luxury most people don't have) and when I returned, I realized partially why I was SO stressed out before I left: We have about 9 or 10 Teams chats happening for key conversations, info sharing, projects, etc. All day long, constantly, conversations going left and right. Our bosses are on there and love all the teamwork, etc. However, the constant dings from all the conversations is making it SO hard to focus on what I have to do and also, all my phone calls. I can't concentrate on anything. There is this FOMO too. i don't want to look like I am not participating. We are all remote, so it is really hard. Anyone relate? My understanding is you can silence the chats, but they go away forever. Is this true? Anyone have a solution? It's total mind overload.…

It's total mind overload. We were not meant for that. Our brains cannot handle the constant distraction.
