I want to quit working at the restaurant I work at. I don’t know what’s the best way to tell my boss I’m quitting.
I haven’t been at my job since July, because I am on a long vacation. When I return my boss will be going on a vacation till the end of august.
I want to quit working from the first of september, which means I won’t be seeing my colleagues or boss anymore. I feel guilty about quitting because I know they’re looking for more employees and I feel like I would be putting them in a difficult situation if I quit.
I have a 0 hour contract and thus need no notice, but it still feels like I’m betraying them.
What is the best way to quit in this scenario? Is it nice to go back one day and say my goodbyes? I didn’t have the best relationship with everyone but we got along nicely.
