Should I quit before I’m fired?

Yesterday after five months at my job I was called into a meeting and told I was being written up for ‘not following company processes’. No warning or indication about the topic of the meeting until I arrived. I’m really upset not only because I feel like this was sprung on me, but because I haven’t had practically any formal training- this company has a ‘sink or swim’ mentality about it. They said we’ll discuss again in three weeks and I genuinely think they’re planning to fire me. I’m actively looking for a new job but I’m fresh out of school and broke, and I’m not sure if it’s better to be fired so I can collect unemployment, or quit so I don’t have a firing on my record.

This place has an insanely high turnover rate and terrible reviews on job sites (which I didn’t think to check before I accepted) so it seems like I’m not the only one who’s had issues.
