So this is my first job out of uni. I've been here since May 2022. The first thing they took advantage of me was telling me to bring my own laptop for a week until they buy me a laptop. The next thing I know, I'm still using my own laptop until this day (3 months and counting). And they kept telling me they will buy me a work laptop “next month” but it never happened. They also never mention anything about paying me for 'renting' my laptop these whole time.
The second thing they took advantage of me, because I'm still living with my parents thus I'm still half-supported financially by my parents (my parents still pay for the electric and water bills, and allowed me to use one of their car to go to work, but I help with paying groceries, cooking for the family, and clean the house. Also please don't turn this thread as a way to mock me for still living with my parents. I live in SE Asia where it is super common for adult children to still live with their parents until they're married). So I'm still allowed and use one of my parents car to go to work. The company took advantage of that and ask my coworkers to ask me whether I can drive my coworkers to places for work purposes, but never mention anything about paying me back for the gas or paying me for renting my car for work purposes. I luckily was able to excuse myself for the few times they tried to ask me because of my schedules.
But I seriously am starting to get really pissed with this company. Sadly, currently I'm unable to jump ship because I don't have anything lined yet but I've been applying every day after work and on weekends. Fuck this company.
