Not sure if this really belongs here but here goes… I work a full time 40hr/week job, and I work 20 of those hours on the weekend. We get paid a “weekend premium” because supposedly when the company started nobody wanted to work on weekends so it was a good incentive. The weekend premium pay is supposed to be time & a third Or 1 & 1/3 pay. So if I make $15/hr, my premium pay would be $20/hr. However somebody messed something up and they are paying us double time instead. So if I make $15/hr, they’d be paying me $30/hr. I mentioned this to a coworker and they said “SSHHHHH… We don’t talk about that… ”
It’s a big corp that makes tons of money off our ball-busting labor, so I will gladly take their money. But could I get screwed over eventually if/when the company discovers what’s going on? Can they request that I refund them the total overpaid amount?
I live in NH, U.S. if that makes a difference.
