Put in my notice to leave last week for the 2nd time in the 5yrs I’ve been there, got a substantial raise both times. I only stay because I really like my job. I’ve never worked somewhere that this has happened multiple times.

I work in warehousing/fabrication. I've always felt like if you work hard you shouldn't have to “ask” for a raise ( stupid I know). If I feel like I'm not being paid fairly according to the market, I'll go somewhere that will. I just give them my notice, fully prepared to leave. This place just keeps throwing money at me to stay lol. I work my ass off and hardly ever miss work. I make a lot of other peoples jobs easier, including management, so I know that's the reason. It's crazy that this is the game we have to play with these companies. If someone is an extremely valuable asset to your company that goes above and beyond, then pay them!! If you don't, somewhere else will!! People like that are not easy to find!
