I also posted this on jobs, but would like some perspective from here too:
I graduated a while ago and have been job searching for about 6-7 months. I finally got an offer for a full-time co-op that is about 30-35 minutes away, and it only pays $15 an hour.
On one hand, I need the experience and this position would likely be relevant for the type of experience I'm seeking. The company is also huge and there's room for advancement (I could probably get an actual job with them down the road). I also have been searching for a while with not much luck (many interviews, no offers).
On the other hand, the drive is pretty longish, and I have freeway driving anxiety. The salary is also ridiculously low, and the position is 3 months long. I need a job for experience, but not really for expenses since I live with my parents (I'm eager for a job, but not desperate thankfully). The position is honestly a bit exploitative (I could make more delivering pizzas with a 5 min drive).
Should I accept the position? Would appreciate some other views on this. Thanks.
