While there are mostly posts of how horrible companies are and their employees, id like to give some acknowledgment that there are companies who care. I hurt my back today on the job, really bad, could barely stand up. There was no, see what you can do, or sit for a minute. It was we will call an ambulance or take you to the ER. After getting back from the hospital my boss told me to just let him know when I’m good and to keep him updated. This is a publicly traded company, huge. My boses boss called me to make sure I was ok and never once mentioned when I would be good to return. After MANY jobs in the workforce I can’t be happy enough with how I’ve been treated over the years. Just being able to say I need to leave and get an ok, every time, no questions, no guilt, hope everything is ok is such a huge weight lifted of my shoulders. I hope more companies realize that UNDERSTANDING situations of their employees will make them employees for life.
