Just got back from work today
I ate something I shouldn’t have last night and I’m reeling from it today. I’ll spare the details but I tried working and realized that was a huge mistake and I told my manager I’d be leaving early (40 mins into my 7 hour shift).
I inform him that I’m sick. As I’m telling him this I realize I need the bathroom again and run off.
I come back, grab my bag, clock out and walk over to him again to tell him I need to leave right now.
“What do you mean you’re leaving? You can’t leave I have no coverage.”
“I’m sorry, I can’t control this. If I could stay I would but I literally cannot be here.”.
He replied again, now angry and more curt with me saying “find coverage, this is ridiculous OP. I can’t believe this. Whatever get out of here.” Then walked away mumbling under his breath and cursing me.
For what exactly? Being sick??
Maybe he was also mad that I flat out refused being told to work this Friday. Today I clock in and he immediately goes “you’re working Friday now instead of next Sunday.”. I told him I couldn’t and had plans and things to do that day so that cannot happen. I think he just expects me to lay down and take it and be his personal yes man.
I’m so glad I’m working a job like this now so when I get a decent job someday I will appreciate it more.
