I’m giving notice at my job today

I’m suffering from depression and trying desperately to get better, and I actually OWE vacation time to my company and can’t take time off for treatments. My work performance has been shit for a while now, and I don’t have the ability to take another leave of absence (my last claim was denied; yay! Life in the US). So, today, I’m meeting with my boss and telling him I have to resign for my health. I absolutely am terrified financially of what this means (I have 3 kids and have been the primary income earner for about 6 years in my marriage), but I am sick of getting physically ill and having panic attacks over work of all things. Have any of you on this sub been in similar situations/left work for their health? I feel like a piece of shit and a failure… to my company, which is annoying…
