Help for a friend who just had a racist encounter with her superior.

For safety reasons, no names or company details will be given. But advice is needed. I dont work for this company anymore, but I still have some contacts there. One of them was called into her boss’s office recently where he said he “needed to clear his head”. He then proceeded to dress down my friend for reasons the superior and his teams were causing. My friend is afraid to go to HR since they will call him and let him know she complained about it as he would be the first person in the office they would generally reach out to.

She did not get a recording, nor is it written down.

She does want to leave the job now as she’s completely at a loss over this. But this behavior can not be tolerated. She is open to suggestions of what she can do outside of talking to HR.

I know this isn’t r/legaladvice but this is the place to discuss workplace racism issues. Any serious help would be appreciated.

Edit: apparently there’s a few more girls in the office that can attest to a pattern of discriminatory behavior. And a few of them have some emails that sound questionable enough in wording to be worth looking at. They’re gonna go to HR together.
