Should I look for a new job?

Let’s start off by saying I have a lot of anxiety, and the General Manager at my current job increases my anxiety severely. He’s very particular and tends to micromanage almost as people work. If a customer comes in and he’s around, he tells us to chase the customer down and say hello and ask if they need help, no matter what we have to for every. single. customer. When he’s not around I’ll still greet them and ask if they need help, but I don’t chase them down. We have to always ask them same questions as we ring people out when he’s around, and if we don’t he makes it clear we ‘need’ to. We can’t have our phones out or he threatens to put them in the office, despite him being on his often during work. He’s frightening when he’s in a bad mood sometimes, he once kicked and swore at the door when it was stuck open.
In addition to this, I got this job with my boyfriend and they have done their best to schedule on different days as the GM thinks we won’t work as hard if we’re on the same shift. During our training, my BF and I had just finished a rush of customers and we stood for a minute afterwards. When my BF walked away the GM told me that I need to “avoid” my BF during my shift as much as I can so we can get work done. The last time we had a shift together I drank some water next to the register my BF was at and the GM came up to me and told me it’s time to “get back to work”. Now this week they scheduled my BF 9-4 and me 3-10, (twice, monday and thursday) leaving me with no way to get to work as I don’t have a car and we told them this the day we were hired. The manager that was in on Monday let my BF leave early to get me, but tomorrow the GM is in and said my boyfriend is not allowed to leave and get me. I have someone from work offer to give me a ride, but I’m so upset with the GM and his behavior towards me these past months I’m thinking of calling off instead and beginning to search for a new job.
Is it valid for me to be upset? Should I start looking for work somewhere else? I’m sick of bing the one he picks on when my BF is around and don’t want to feel so anxious at work.
