Got “In Trouble” For Standing Up For Myself

I explained yesterday in VC, but today I just got out of my pointless “meeting” with the upper management. Backstory: I got chewed out by the senior accountant as he tried to throw me under the bus for HIS ERROR. Telling me to take the fall for him. I did my part, added formulas, and sent off everything accordingly. I guess he didn't like what I did and changed some things around. The changes raised some red flags because I kept getting phone calls and had no idea what was going on, so I redirected to him. He didn't want to admit his error and tried to pin it onto me. I am the lowest on the totem poll, and politely requested him to highlight the spreadsheet where I made this so called “error” as it did not match what I submitted. Apparently, standing up for myself is considered “insubordination”…

Apparently, standing up for myself is considered “insubordination” and “disrespect” against this boomer.

Fuck this toxic ass work culture of “respecting your elder” bullshit. The meeting was extremely pointless, aside from the senior accountant having a smug ass look. They told me “I need to be more mindful.” Nothing got resolved, as there was nothing to resolve, except my resentment towards this asshat.
