Let’s play a game of who has the most absurd work policies

I’ll start, my company(Daikin) has zero absence excuse policy if you aren’t using personal time. Meaning, if you are sick, your car breaks down, or anything else happens that prevents you from making it to work, you either use a “personal day” or it’s unexcused. No exceptions. You might be thinking “eh, not so bad” welp here’s the kicker, we only get 3, yes, THREE, “personal/emergency days” a YEAR. You are also NOT allowed to call off in advance for any reason without using personal time. And we have no tardy grace period. This is honestly just surface level stuff as well, but unfortunately we work with either old heads who are too old and are okay with the abuse, or fresh out of high school teens who are here before going to college so not much in terms of unionizing against this abuse. Only like 3 other co-workers are…

This is honestly just surface level stuff as well, but unfortunately we work with either old heads who are too old and are okay with the abuse, or fresh out of high school teens who are here before going to college so not much in terms of unionizing against this abuse. Only like 3 other co-workers are class conscious and are pro-union(in private of course) but since we’re dudes in our mid 20’s we plan on going back to school so even we won’t do much about this unfortunately.
