I am a travel nurse travel and work for an travel agency. I took 3 days off when my son was sick. They first said i needed a doctors note to get paid although I do have the sick hours to cover missed days. Now they are refusing to pay me for those hours I missed. The agency told me now that I am not on a contract with them they will save the sick hours and wait until my next contract to pay them out to me if I have to call in sick. Is this legal? I am in New York.
