Encountering psychopaths in management and company leadership is significantly higher than in the average population research suggests

I am currently reading a book that is about malicious leadership in the working life. It states that there are much more psychopaths and narcissists in company leadership and management than in the average population. The book furthermore states that our competitive society is a well suited place for these kind of persons to thrive. Surpressing others and self-aggrandizement is very much possible in the working life and that's why persons with malicious personality traits seek for these kind of leader positions. I find this plausible and very interesting at once. Because I recognized much behaviours in the given examples in the book with my boss of my previous employer. Another field is religious organizations and politics the book states. Just figured I share this here. I don't know if there is an english version, in german the book is called “Mein Chef ist irre, Ihrer auch?”.
