So I’m super ticked off, I just learned that my employer at the coffee shop I work at has hired a lady, with no food or coffee experience to take the manager roll I was offered. A month and a half ago I talked to her and said that I would be happy to take on a larger roll within the franchise, and she said she’d be happy to promote me. What she’s done instead is given me more hours more responsibility, and when I ask about the promotion she laughs at me. I like where I work, and I like who I work for however, I’m going to quit soon once school starts. I’m super frustrated and don’t understand why business owners don’t focus on keeping the people they have and focus on replacing them in case they leave. Well, she made a good prediction because I’m out of here.
