My co-worker passed away, and they wouldn’t close the shop at all.

I get it, business as usual.. life goes on, but mentally, I feel this really tipped me over the edge. One of my co-workers has been off sick for 4 months with a brain tumour, unfortunately they passed away from it last night. We all received the devastating news at work today.. had my co-workers son who also works with us, pop by in tears… how can they not close the shop for this? It just doesn’t sit right with me whatsoever, not to also mention. This was an exceptional co-worker with years of service under their belt, truly above and beyond… I hate it and truly think it’s disgusting we were expected to carry on business as usual, but a death doesn’t bother the corporate higher ups whatsoever does it?
