This video of a captured Russian soldier being yelled at by Ukranians has been making the rounds. We tend to feel bad for him because we know he's just some kid who ultimately is working for the Oligarchs. The Russian soldiers are a bunch of clueless young men fighting a rich old men's war.
How many times has this happened in human history, going back to ancient Rome, Egypt, and Asia? How many times did poor young men have to do the bidding of kings of Europe? In the American Civil War, how many Confederate boys had to fight on behalf of the 2% of rich plantation owners to keep slavery? How many German and Russian boys died because Hitler was financed by big money?
Switzerland stays neutral because of some “anti-war” stance? BS. It's because of the lobbying power of the bankers who want to launder the money of Oligarchs of many nations, not just Russia.
I know this is the antiwork sub, but I think this is all relevant. This sh*t needs to stop.
