Does anyone else feel like they have PTSD from working customer service?

I haven’t worked in customer service in about 2 years, but I have had very bad experiences with it in the past. I worked at T@rget for a while and when I stopped going “above and beyond” my manager was having serious guilt tripping talks with me every shift, and had ALL my coworkers interrogating me after my bathroom breaks to make sure I hadn’t been using my phone. I had another job where my manager tracked down my social media, printed a post of mine that she didn’t like, and then showed it to me and suspended me for a week effective immediately after I drove 30 mins to work. I could go on forever about how horribly my mental health has been affected by customer service and passive aggressive managers. I have a cushy reception job at a small business now, and my boss treats me very well.…

I have a cushy reception job at a small business now, and my boss treats me very well. Still, every time my boss asks to talk with me I assume the worst and feel like I might have a panic attack or I prepare to quit because the pressure of knowing she could be holding a grudge is too much for me. I just can’t bear working under a manager anymore. I feel like every aspect of my life is micromanaged and under scrutiny. Anyone else? 🥲
