What to do if HR hasn’t done anything about a verbal threat from another employer?

Long story short. A couple weeks ago, an older co-worker was overheard verbally threatening a younger co-worker (who is still in High School & this is his first job experience) behind his back. From what i understand, he basically said he wanted to go to this kid's house to punch his teeth in & continued to say some pretty nasty things about this kid throughout the rest of the week, mainly because he didn't like the kids work ethic. 2 incident reports were written up & given to HR after a supervisor was notified, but as far as I know nothing was really done. Is there anything I could do as a fellow employee, who doesn't really feel comfortable working with this older co-worker now, especially if there is a chance they could say similar things about me behind my back if they didn't like me for some reason? Update:…

Update: talked to this kid (the one who was threatened) earlier last week. He put in his 2 weeks after talking to HR & they didn't do anything but make the person who threatened him apologize.
The kid said he didn't want anything to happen to the guy that threatened him, & he is actually glad to be leaving this job as he is wanting to work somwhere where he can actually progress instead of becoming stadnent. After hearing all this info, now several of us other employees really don't feel comfortable working with the older employee. Especially if there is a chance that he could be saying or at least thinking violent thoughts about other employees (or even superiors) if he finds a reason too.

Suggestions what to do with this situation would be appreciated!
