“Is his heart really in this new position?”

I work at a hospital and have been for about 5 years. It's not my background (graduated in Child and Family Development, have worked mostly with kids with mental issue including Special Education classrooms). When I started, I worked as a paraeducator (32 hours a week), coached wrestling at two schools, and still picked up hours from time to time at an adolescent psychiatric facility. I'm single, I'm busy, and that includes working 50-60 hours/week between these places. So I make some calls and find out, yes, I can pick up shifts with my old position, and its on overtime! Sweeeeeet! I'm working full time and pick up said shift outside my regular hours. Next day, my boss's boss comes to him and says, “He's really working alot, and now I see he's picked up at his old position. Is his heart really in this new position with us?”

:O[

No. No it's not. My heart is making a life for myself and being efficient with my work time. Fuck your position. I'm consistent and I do a good job for the compensation you give me. I'll do both jobs. You pay me for it. I don't cause problems. Fuck off.
