I was offered a remote job in my field. These jobs are almost non-existant due to the nature of my work, so this is a rare opportunity. The problem is that it is about a $15,000 pay cut from my current salary. It would make my budget pretty tight. But the thought of not having to drive, get dressed for work/buy work clothes, deal with coworkers and management breathing down my neck….is incredibly tempting.
I'm not sure if this is financially wise or not. My current workplace is a toxic cesspool, though, and it is making me miserable. Life is short, and I want to be happy.
