I’m so confused and mad I don’t know where to begin
Started a new job last Monday, on Friday I got my arm crushed in a machine that someone else was operating when I tried to reach for something that was stored ontop of said machine. (In reflection there’s no way it was legal/within worksafe practises to have these items in such a place)
Got sent home an hour before finishing time, and got told to see a doctor if it gives me peace of mind. Due to how far away this job was from me, by the time I got home my local GPS were closed, so I decided to sleep it off and go to the hospital the next day
While at the hospital waiting for X-rays on Saturday, my new boss calls me to ask how it’s going, and immediately lets me go right after. Decided That things with us weren’t going to work out.
This is after I was called to do some trial shifts for Mon-Wed, being offered a position “for the next couple of months” to see if I would fit the business at a lower rate to what was offered to me before my trial at the end of Wednesday, and placing me on the books Thursday/Friday.
I now have potential long term damage in my dominant arm/hand which I have no idea how long for, and no job. It’s worth mentioning this was a potential to be my dream job . I don’t even know how to process the last week of my life or know where to begin. I started off sad but it is turning into malice . Fuck
