Boss hired his high school dropout 17 year old son to lead management position

TLDR 17 year old son has not worked before and dropped out of high school to be a “pro gamer”. Now works at his dad's multi million dollar company telling people with degrees they aren't working hard enough I have been at this company in mssachsetts for coming on five years with extensive background in leadership and management including a four year degree. My boss who is a high school drop out makes it very aware that he doesn't respect people with higher education because of his “look where I am without it” persona. I have been at this company in mssachsetts for coming on five years with extensive background in leadership and management including a four year degree.

My boss who is a high school drop out makes it very aware that he doesn't respect people with higher education because of his “look where I am without it” persona. He was given this company by his father.

I work in “agriculture” or so they call it, so we arent eligible for overtime. My warehouse position has me here about 45 hours a week without over time eligibility.

Boss is never here. I mean never, and when he is, it's because the state is coming for an inspection and he spearheads the tour as if he gives a shit.

Recently my direct manager quit because he is older and was having issues with the technology, i.e. he couldn't handle the programs constantly changing with updates.

That was about three months ago and my department has been coming in early and leaving late to fill quota, and boss promised he would promote from within so I was okay that sounds good to me.

My boss's answer was to hire his high school drop out 17 year old son who has not had a job before this. No work experience prior.

He is on his phone watching twitch all day in front of us and if we even glance in his direction, we get scolded for not doing our work. Not in a constructive way, like I mean literally him yelling.

I am burned out because I've applied to 106 jobs since the beginning of the year trying to jump off this sinking ship but I am met only with offers significantly less than what I am making now.

Other in my department have asked for raises but apparently we aren't eligible because our work isn't good enough. That's what we are told.

I am so sick of this shit.
