We’ve reassessed our needs…

I had a job. Not a good job, but a job. I had a child. Agreed on one month of leave for the child. Child comes out, has some breathing issues. After about 2 weeks in the hospital, I realize that I'm going to need more time. I send an email telling them the situation and that I'd be willing to simply resign since I am taking however much time I need to with my child and the leave is (of course) totally unpaid. The day before I'm slated to come back to work, they call and tell me they've reassessed their needs and they no longer need me to come back. They didn't do it when I offered to resign, they waited until the very last day. Wasting as much of my time as they possible could, relying that I'd have a job waiting, not looking for other jobs.

So now, with the thousands upon thousands of dollars of medical bills incoming, our “family spending freeze” for two weeks until my first paycheck is now our lifestyle indefinitely.

Thanks plastic bottle company that's named after the island that they probably “totally legitimately acquire” their water from.
