I started a new job, working with an unspecified company at home ( not naming job type or location for anonymity purposes).
In training we were overloaded with a shit ton of information.
The trainer and another supervisor kept going on that the pay is not minimum wage and that workers doing very well on their monthly pay cheques.
It is only paying $16 an hour + commission. Or so they said.
I get started and I notice my pay is only $15 an hour. And then once I am working in production I notice my pay never increased. I asked the floor supervisor why. They came back that it is minimum wage and never was above minimum wage.
They told me something entirely different throughout hiring and training.
The job advertised as more.
my first paycheque comes out and it is short changed by about $200+. They claimed that it was because of unacknowledged tech issues. I am not an IT person, and the issues all stemmed from when we were in training, and I was not made aware of all the fucking spreadsheets I have to fill out to get paid at that point.
In the meantime the tech issues are insane, and frequent. I have to log them all. Plus I have to log all sales into a separate spreadsheet. plus I have to log other duties into another spreadsheet. Plus I have to log IT issues into another spreadsheet.
I have about 8 different log ins, and I have to be logged in and communicating on two different teams; one for tech issues, another for job specific questions.
I have a teammate who chats and asks me to help her with her work. I started ignoring her requests today, because I told her I could not help her, and was busy doing something else and chatting with a supervisor about my pay.
I think what set me off was they showed in my schedule my pay was docked for tech issues that I reported.
My supervisor requested I filled out another IT form and then demanded I get another set of log ins so I can log in and dispute my pay, on a payroll site that no one gave me log ins for.
Like that is supposed to motivate me to work. I got to fight tooth and nail to get paid minimum wage, and a measly commission, while consistently getting short changed for tech issues, and probably my commission.
I am so stressed and just done with people's shit today.
And I am worried I am going to be homeless now.
