All this talk about quiet quitting but nothing about quiet Firing

So I wanted to bring this up and see if anyone else’s place of work did this before? Back at my old job at Winn Dixie one way they got rid of troublesome employees was shift their schedule to one day a week until they got frustrated and quit. They did this to anyone who performed poorly, poor attendance etc. What other schemes have happened out there to try to get people to quit?
