Manager didn’t let anyone use the restroom because he had to clean it

I work at a small grocery store that only has two bathrooms (one for men and one for women). I won't name the company bc I feel that our manager's actions don't reflect the company as a whole, most of the other workers are very nice to work with. Today a customer made a mess in the men's restroom and one of the employees saw, but didn't clean it nor say anything about it. I find it a little funny that I'm 16 and clean the bathrooms every night I work, yet a 40-something year old man has to do it once and takes his spite out on the rest of us. I hate this trend of higher-ups thinking they can act however they please toward their suboordinates.

Also, I tore down the sign after he left and used the bathroom anyway. Not gonna let a power-tripping manager dictate if I can or can't use the damn bathroom.
