Before me, they started with an office staff of 4. All the original staff has left, plus 4-5 more people who were there for a month or two and left. The problem is the manager, C. She isn't from the industry, doesn't care to learn about it, if you go to her for help she dismisses it and gives you more work. She's very condescending and doesn't like it if you know more than her or are popular with the technicians. She's a blonde skinny white woman in her 60s that thrives on male attention and this is a male dominated industry.
Let me give you bullet points on what she's done so far since it's too much to write out.
-C pushed out the last knowledgeable office worker (S), didn't bother to learn the scope of what she handled (which was everything) and tried to spread lies about S to corporate.
*C told the entire staff to come in late one day bc she didn't want witnesses when she fired a black man and had the cops sitting in the parking lot when she did it. He was a sales guy and not aggressive in any way. But she set up a narrative that he was dangerous and she started closing the office early bc “he might be waiting outside”. *
-The entire office staff was black women, C pushed them all out and only hired white women who were attractive-ish but none she viewed as too hot. (Mind you, this job requires a high level of computer skill and customers don't come into the office.)
-Yesterday C texted the all the men in the field that one of the women in the office twerked when she heard they got a sale. The woman, L, had done “the Tina” (Belcher from Bob's Burgers) as a joke and didn't do it in front of any men. C went out of her way to sexualize L in a group chat L wasn't part of.
I've never been in a job that drained me as much as this one.. And it's just C. Everyone else here is great. But C is so condescending, doesn't listen, doesn't bother to understand, and blames everyone else when anything goes wrong. I've trauma bonded with so many people from here.
—Yes, I have spoken with HR several times. The guy who was fired has the EEOC and a personal lawyer handling the situation. S filed with the EEOC for racial discrimination as well.
