This happened a few years ago but sometimes it still fucks with my head.
I was working in a sewer renovation company a few years back and everything seemed perfectly fine and normal. The coworkers were nice at first but after they switched me from one working pair to another things took a small twist. They were still explaining their methods of doing the work and how their equipment works (different from what I was used to before) but the atmosphere was starting to get a bit colder.
Soon enough nobody was friendly at the construction site anymore and nobody answered to my messages in our group chat, which was a little bit weird.
After that they switched me back with the original pair I was working with and funnily enough the people I worked with at first suddenly despised me, told me I am doing a bad job etc. Cherry on top of the cake moment was when some inspector guy went through the apartments to “check” the interceptors under kitchen sinks connected to the pipeline. AND who would have guessed apparently all of them that I had installed were leaking or broken and one of them was basically ripped out of the cabinet.
This made me really questiol myself if I really was that stupid of a person when everyone said it was me who ripped those things and cant install simple things without them leaking. After this the boss of the company gave me a little ted talk on how nobody seems to like me and that my attitude is shit, if I dont fix it then Ill be fired 😀
Well once again they switched me to somewhere else where it all escalated and they added verbal abuse to their arsenal, I knew the company ws fucked up when a person who never spoke to me before was nice on monday but talking shit and belittling me on tuesday despite us having a good day before.
Then I decided that these people arent worth my time and refused to do anything until I was officially fired.
Moral of the story, fuck work, fuck shitty coworkers. Nobody is on your side out there.
