Red flags

I saw a job advert that looked pretty good, the only downside was that they didn't disclose the salary, they asked applicants to write how much they would ask so the employer could “rule out people who did not match the profile of the institution”. That was the first red flag but the work itself looked pretty good so I applied anyways. I sent my CV and salary expectations along with a small greeting to the email provided. They replied by thanking me for my interest and asking me to send my CV (already attached in the original message). Red flag number 2, since apparently they couldn't bother to read the emails or check what was included.

They asked if I would be available for an online interview that afternoon after 4 pm, I replied I was. They immediately asked if we could do the interview “during the morning” (note that it was already 11:40 by the time they sent that message). I replied that I was available for 12 or 12:30, and they left it on read. At about 12:10 I asked to please confirm the schedule, and they said 12:30 (at 12:25).

The interview was actually okay. The employer said he needed to have the position filled that same day, so he would write in the afternoon to let me know. He said he'd write even if i didn't get it, but of course, i never heard back from them.

Until today, 3 work days later, when he called me at 10 AM asking if i'd be available to go in today, since the other girl “did not come through”.
