Throwaway account just in case.
I was originally hired to work in an insurance office with my own mini office in there. Everything was going well and a couple months after training I started hitting my monthly sale goals.
Around end of December I got a call from my manager saying he was thinking about moving me to another office which is about 45 minutes away. He said it was really gonna help me out and there would be a lot more foot traffic there but it’s not really certain yet and not to think about it too much.
Towards the middle of February he tells me that he wants me there within a week. Then I find out from one of my colleagues that he actually hired a brand new person and that person said she wanted to be in my location or she wouldn’t take the job so my manager moved her to my office and moved me to the other location.
When I confronted him and told him why he said he’s the manager he doesn’t need to explain anything and it was a business decision and it wasn’t a choice.
The new office is currently under construction so for the next 3 to 4 months everyone in that location has to be cramped in a tiny ass place with no cubicles or anything. Everyone is just sitting next to each other.
I’m debating on even going in tomorrow. Specially with Covid going on still I don’t feel comfortable sitting so close to everyone else.
He straight up lied to my face. Everyone in my current office is saying it’s discrimination and he shouldn’t have done that. They said most of the previous agents in my office left because of him
