How my boss hustled me of ~18.000$ before and gave me 200$ to make up for it.

Me, (~30, M) worked for a company for 2 years as a salesman. Before signing the contract, I was promised a salary of 5,000 $/month. When I received the contract it said 4,000$/month and when I asked the boss (~50, F) the response I got was 'yeah we haven't found a good system for the variable part of your salary but don't worry we will fix that soon.' I was kinda desperate so I signed. So I started and thought to my self 'I need to prove my worth, then they'll raise my salary!'. Worked extremely hard, had 10-15 min lunches per day or some days no lunch at all. On a normal day I did the job of 2 people. After a year we discuss a raise. Im thinking that now the boss will probably offer me the 5,000$ and then some to compensate for the year that has…

After a year we discuss a raise. Im thinking that now the boss will probably offer me the 5,000$ and then some to compensate for the year that has gone. Nope.
Boss: “we can offer you 4,500$ with no benefits or 4,200$ with benefits”
Me: but you told me I'd earn 5,000 when I took this job?
Boss: sorry but covid is hitting us hard.
Me: I understand, I'll take the 4,500 then.

Two weeks later the company hires not one, not two, but three new employees (we we're around 6 employes in totalt before) and two of them at the same position as me.

me: but I thought times were though and that the company didn't have any money? This just gives me the impression that you don't appreciate the work im doing for the company. I have other offers, but I like this job. If you want me to stay you need to show me some appreciation.
Boss: I don't care nor decide what you do.

a couple of weeks later, one of the new colleagues gets promoted to head of sales. I wasn't even asked. She har worked at the company for a month give or take. So now I have a new coworker who is also my boss, but she has NO experience in our field of work, only from sales in general. So on top of my own job, I also have to teach my new coworkers everything.

Fast forward aprox. three months and it is now clear to everyone at the company that my new coworker clearly lacks the needed skill to be head of sales. She is now demoted to salesman again. But she did implement a new system that keeps track of how many sales each salesman has done.

About this time the OTHER coworker who was hired at the same time as my request of a raise gets fired. Im thinking these two events shows my worth even more. I go through our sales system and find out that not only have I made sales for over 700,000 $ in the last 4 months, but also that I close a deal with minimum 60% and in a good month 70% of all the customers I meet. All the other salesmen range between 40-55%.

It is also time for my vacation, but since I needed two more days I strike a deal with my boss to work a saturday and sunday to compensate. Unfortunately I got sick, and with covid there was no chance I could come in and work.

Boss: Then I want you to work on a weekend next month instead.
Me: yeah thats fine. I'll work 8 hours on the saturday and 8 hours on the sunday.
Boss: No, you need to work 6 hours on friday, 10 hours on the saturday and 10 hours on the sunday.
Me: but our shifts are 8 hours per day, and I needed two more days. That totals 16 hours? Im not gonna work 26 hours, that isn't fair?
Boss: if you're gonna be like that you don't have to come back after your vacation at all.
Me: that seems harsh..
Boss: leaves the room visibly angry.

20 minutes pass and then she calls to say that she's sorry. Offers me a cash bonus of 200 dollars. You rip me off of 1,000$ per month for two years, treat me like Im not needed, tell me that I don't have to come back and then offer me 200$ when I earned you 700,000$ last 4 months? yeah that's not how this work.

I had already made up my mind. Two days later I sent in my resignation and heard NOTHING for two hours. But both my work phone and work computer goes off like crazy. Open them up and notice that I'm being kicked out of EVERY system that we have. Couple of minutes later I get a text message; “let us know when you are home so we can send someone over to grab your workphone and computer”

Its been a year, got reminded now by the Snapchat flashback

Since my departure I've heard that the company has gone through 3 new head of sales that has all quit/got fired and also a couple of salesmen.
